Share & Give
Trinity has a long history of supporting justice-oriented causes and special needs, both in Austin and around the world via the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). This spirit of giving is expressed in our Sunday morning offerings.
Every Sunday, we have two offerings—one to keep the doors open (and the AC on!), and the other for a special ministry or need inside or outside of our Austin community.
Special Offering
Our past special offerings have been dedicated to important causes such as:
– LGBTQ organizations including the Reconciling Ministries Network and OutYouth of Austin
– Environmental causes including the Interfaith Environmental Network and Biointegrity
– Interfaith organizations including Central Texas Interfaith and iACT
– Help for underserved populations including BookSpring (formerly RIF), Ridgetop Elementary, the Homeless Task Force, and the Hope Food Pantry
– Timely urgent needs such as hurricane relief in Haiti, Houston, and Puerto Rico and the rebuilding of the Islamic Center in Victoria, Texas after it was leveled by arson

Regular Offering
The regular offering includes both pledges (scheduled gifts) and spontaneous giving. It goes to support items critical to our community such as:
– Church programming & ministry
– Building maintenance, utilities and improvements
– Staff salaries and youth & children’s ministries
– Connectional (UCC and UMC) benevolences and support
